What is distinctive about Anglican worship?  What do we mean by things we do?  How can we open up our worship tradition to new ideas and new people?

This Ministry Skills Stream aims to provide an overview of Anglican worship practice and to engage the imagination of students in making local worship happen creatively and well.  It will help us to explore the worshipping heart of our life together as Christians and fresh possibilities.

On completion of this Ministry Skills Stream participants will be able to:

  • Describe what liturgy is and why we need it;
  • Engage with signs, seasons and sacraments: cycles of meaning and living;
  • Articulate some of the arguments for the changing worship needs of their local and contemporary context;
  • Make use of A Prayer Book for Australia and other liturgical resources.
