This Ministry Skills Stream aims to help participants to gain an understanding of the broad nature of Youth Ministry and how to apply this understanding in a practical framework for effective Youth Ministry.

50% of the worlds population are under the age of 25. As a church we are called by Jesus mandate to go to all nations to make disciples.

We will explore how we might live this out with the teenagers in our immediate worlds.  We will navigate what the Bible teaches together with kinesthetic learning to equip us to minister with teenagers and partner with their parents.

-

On completion of this Ministry Skills Stream participants will be able to:

  • intentionally integrate a personal spiritual growth in order to sustain and last in Youth Ministry;
  • articulate past and present models of Youth Ministry and how they apply to different settings and parishes and personal Youth Ministry;
  • identify which environments  Youth Ministry Thrives and how we can respond to this;
  • critically engage with a case study in Youth Ministry and your own experiences;
  • formulate ministry goals that incorporate and involve the parents of teenagers;
  • develop strategies to involve faith communities in the ministry with young people.
